Stephen Scherer, MD

Dr. Scherer is board certified in Internal Medicine and was in private practice in Kansas City for over 25 years. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society, past president of Research Medical Center’s medical staff and served on the REACH healthcare foundation’s community advisory committee from 2008-2014. He has been voted by his physician peers as being a doctor they would seek out if they or a family member needed medical advice or treatment. As a longtime member of the International Society of Travel medicine, Dr. Scherer owns and serves as medical director for the Travel and Immunization Clinic, providing well-respected knowledge and expertise in travel health.

Carolee Scherer

Carolee has been a Kansas City area resident since 1981 and was a travel agent for several years. She later taught aerobic, yoga and pilates classes for 17 years and has been manager of the clinic since 2001. She enjoys volunteering for several philanthropic organizations through membership in Kansas City Young Matrons and has belonged to the Research Medical Center Service Auxiliary since 1988.

Pam Appenfeller, RN

Pam has spent most of her life in the Kansas City area. She received her BSN from Vanderbilt University and has worked in several different fields of nursing. She enjoys traveling, exploring history and experiencing foreign cultures. She finds it very rewarding assisting people in planning vacations that may turn into a trip of a lifetime.

Beth Driks, RN

Beth grew up in New York City and went to nursing school in Miami, Florida and Southern California. Her Aunt's move to Thailand sparked her love of travel and different cultures. She enjoys helping clients prepare for their trips and become comfortable with traveling.
